When Community Concerts debuted in Vernon
in 1953, regular classical music concerts were
new and exciting – but people sat on gymnasium
bleachers or folding chairs on the high school
basketball floor. What a difference today! The
audience enjoys leg room, good sight lines,
great acoustics and comfortable seats as they’re
surrounded by the magic of beautiful music.
