About Us

Music is our passion! The North Okanagan Community Concert Association (also known as NOCCA or Community Concerts Vernon) is a non-profit organization promoting “Diversity & Excellence In Music” through community concerts held at the Vernon & District Performing Arts Centre. We provide a full season of 5 concerts featuring a diverse selection of artists and music from around the world. We are honoured to be able to bring top artists to Vernon for all to enjoy. Our concerts range from classical, to jazz, to world music.

Get out of your comfort zone, and try something new! We promise you an afternoon or evening to remember 🙂

The 2013-14 concert season marked the North Okanagan Community Concert Association’s DIAMOND JUBILEE. The first concert of the season was within a day of the actual 60th anniversary date.

NOCCA Celebrates it's Diamnond Jubilee in 2013Our very first concert was held on October 27th, 1953 in the old Fulton school building, which was then known as the Vernon High School. The artist on that occasion was Jorg Bolet, a Cuban pianist who, fortuitously, brought his own piano with him! (This was before we bought the Steinway now used at the Performing Arts Centre).
